The Lighter Later campaign is calling for a three-year trial of a new timekeeping model where Britain's clocks are set to GMT+1 in winter and GMT+2 in summer.
We're supporting a Private Member's Bill currently working its way through parliament. The Daylight Saving Bill is calling on the government to conduct a full review of the evidence for and against a change to the way we set out clocks, after which, if the review is positive, we'll get a trial. The bill passed its first major vote in parliament in December 2010 with a huge majority.
There's huge and growing support for this idea - from academics, civil society and industry groups as well as politicians from every major party. But we need your help.
People power works. If enough of us join in the call for change, those still in the doubting camp will have no choice but to sit up and listen.
